Green Day: Rock Band is now available for sale in the U.S. for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Computer, and Wii gaming systems. This new addition to the Rock Band cannon lets you play play up to 47 songs as Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt or Tré Cool through their expansive career from their humble beginnings with Dookie to full blown stardom with American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, with unique visuals and venues all inspired by Green Day.“I think people will hopefully be impressed with the pictures and video we’ve included from throughout our career,” said Billie Joe Armstrong, vocalist and guitarist for Green Day. “The blackmail MTV has over Green Day is insane!”
“We thought we could have a lot of fun making a Rock Band game and highlight different times in our career, since we’re using so many songs,” said Mike Dirnt, bassist for Green Day. “We just thought it was a cool way to show people something different.”
“There will be some people who know every single song on the disc, which is awesome,” said Tré Cool, Green Day’s drummer. “But for those who don’t, it’s a great way to discover some of the older material.”
